Get Involved as an Organization

Columbus Saves Week is an annual opportunity to encourage saving, debt reduction and wealth building. Partnerships can be established with local Saves campaigns to offer motivational workshops, posters, brochures and other resources. We are partnering with financial institutions that will offer no fee, low opening balance accounts for small savers, IRA’s, CD’s and other savings and investment opportunities, and incentives for people to open or add money to their accounts during the Week.

Participate by sponsoring Build Wealth Not Debt Workshops offered by our local Saves Campaigns.  We are inviting financial institution or intuitions to present their savings and wealth building products.  We are asking Financial educators to present their classes and above all:  Encourage people to take financial action through saving, debt reduction and wealth building.

You can use the following education material and add your logo to the material. These are pdf files that can be opened in Adobe Photoshop then you add your logo to use these materials.

National City has a children’s website that is a fun and entertaining approach to educating children about financial responsibility.  Below is the link and information about our student savers website.

Kids in grades K-5 can get excited about math, money and banking.  At this engaging Web site, Nattie the dog leads Tyler, Amy and Teresa through various activities. Children can play as they learn through:
  • Games
  • Coloring Books
  • Coloring Pages
  • A bank tour
www.NationalCity.com/StudentSavers is a safe place for kids and a great resource for parents and teachers.
Parents can download comic/activity books and discover additional activities, books and Web sites to help kids understand the value of earning and saving money. Teachers can download lesson plan activities and comic/activity books to complement a range of skill levels and objectives. They can share online games with students to help teach skills from counting coins to budgeting.
The entire site is available in both English and Spanish.
